Odisha's SHG Model: Rising Together - Communities Lead Sanitation
Odisha has enabled the inclusion of vulnerable groups across the sanitation value chain by engaging women and transgender SHGs as service providers. The state has led by example in SHG engagement by ensuring that challenges are addressed at both SHG and ULB level, roles and expectations are clarified on both ends through equitable service contracts that protect SHG interests.
